Art Workshops from Leslie B. DeMille

"I can't imagine a greater gift than sharing the craft of painting with others. When you truly find art, something comes alive that was never yet experienced before."

Leslie B. DeMille teaches the time-honored technique of portrait components. During his 50 years of art instruction he has perfected an easy method for painting the mouth, nose, eyes, etc., that students can quickly learn. Mr. DeMille can instruct you in obtaining an exact portrait likeness through classic impressionism that borders on abstraction. You will learn poses, backdrops, lighting and how to use today's modern materials through daily demonstrations and personal instruction at your easel. He will enlighten you on how to portray various subjects, such as small children, children with pets, deceased persons from photographs, and ethnic and character features.

Leslie B. DeMille's emphasis is on fresh, alla prima portrait studies. He encourages you to work in an impressionistic manner rather than with tight, hard edges. You will learn about tone values, lost and found edges, color temperature and how to squint to see how to draw with simple form of light and shadow.

Whatever your acheivement level, you will be rewarded with a feeling of great satisfaction and accomplishment after these intensive yet fun-filled workshops.

At the end of your exciting and fun-packed course, he will discuss framing issues, pricing, fixatives and even how to start your own successful portrait business. Fine painting, satisfaction and enhanced self-confidence will be the product of a dedicated week.Leslie B. DeMille is available for Five Day Workshops in either Oils or in Pastels as follows:
